Partner
Cathy Finney is a partner for the ABD Direct Division. With more than 25 years of experience, her approach to fundraising focuses on building long-term donor relationships, particularly through the development of mid-level and sustainer giving programs. She strives to build fundraising programs centered on the full donor life cycle, deepening donor engagement, transitioning one-time donors to ongoing supporters, and moving donors from acquisition to higher levels of investment.
Throughout her career, Cathy has contributed her skills to some of the most respected non-profits, including The Wilderness Society, WNET/Channel Thirteen, Reproductive Freedom for All, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Oxfam US, and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Ms. Finney graduated from Marymount University and has received numerous awards and speaking engagements across the nation for her deep experience in both direct response and major gifts, as well as her ability to build high-value donor relationships.
Cathy is active in the fundraising community and serves as a council member for the Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel (ADRFCO) and co-chairs the membership committee for The Nonprofit Alliance (TNPA). Outside of the office, she can be found outdoors as much as possible, hot or cold. From where she lives in Bozeman, Montana, to traveling to places less populated, she enjoys hiking, sailing, mountain biking, outdoor running, and any other activity that keeps her moving. She is a proud mom to Junie, a smart but willful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Peanut, the best lap cat in the world, and Chief, a happily retired trail horse.
